Astrology...The Whole and the Relative

About

The universe is made of music and stories, atoms and matter are outcomes. Vice Versa

Harmony/symphony is all relative. Looking at the relationship 'out there' with the things 'in here', as both are happening simultaneously. Harmony in wave sets of geometry. Vice Versa

The chart is really a Mandala – a look into an individual's patterning which resonates with them, and therefore their current contribution to the whole. Can be created in art form (Visa Versa)

Astrology, like any holistic practice seeing all parts of self as contributing to part of the whole. Otherwise there wouldn't be balance. On their own, is purple better than orange, is bamboo better than wood? Visa Versa

Looking at events as a language, understanding how things work, cycles

Macro and Micro– relatively proportionally link between Cosms.

Strengths

Meeting all parts of self – exploring Wonderland once falling down the Rabbit Hole

Shedding and renewing - Re-assessment of beliefs about yourself, other people and the world altogether to create again.

Seeing the meaning in events – social to universal cycles

Directions to try/contemplate/aim/engage in experience

Engaging with certain characteristics of ourselves and traits of nature gives us less shock when they 'happen' to us as being aware means to become also.

Getting back to our most natural affinities. Applying this to job, hobbies, languages, all activities.

Providing room for contemplation – A somewhat objective (3rd person) view of what is taking place now. Adding possibility

Limitations

Quite fortunately, nothing fatalistic can be determined including death, finding 'the one'. Wishful belief takes on more of an effect.

Same goes for definite, one-way, completely specific answers

Still experiencing the tidal changes. Being aware of ourselves does not mean we avoid or 'ride easy', rather it is so we can engage thoroughly with the events and lessons when they approach us.

Division - focussing on specific archetypes or stereotypes may be equivalent to focussing on a group, or interest, cancelling out the rest. The aim is not for this but rather to integrate.

Heartspace... Venus tensions before finding balance

Venus SQ Neptune – Natural displays of affection in people and towards interests at apparent odds with the more idealised states of being. How we act versus how we really want to be.

Confusion about love and its many strands, including the purpose of love itself. Aware to the uncertainty of the depths and breadths of the uncountable dimensions of all that 'love' entails. Emotional ties to the unattainable, glamorous, 'far-away' whether technically, emotionally or simply physically. Feeling emotional boomerangs strongly due to the lack of understood and self-given boundaries. High degrees of romanticism, perhaps to uncomfortable levels that are not understood or without limits that may be sought for. Love of the ideas of the mystical or 'higher' levels of being at cross purposes with how one may naturally receive and give. Interests and likes that feel at odds to what's 'right' in a judged sense. Lights, mirrors, smokescreens and more sparkling lights. Love of the gypsy, the 'cool-cat', the 'guru' or a distinct dislike for. Resentment towards the mundane.

Venus SQ Uranus – natural affection at cross purposes with the newest in the now, the truth of situations at present and coming
Confusion about how much the feelings that either tinker or flood should be tempered with intellect, cool-ness, detachment, rationalism and future possibilities. To get caught up in the moment or think about the future? To love the nerds or to love to jocks. To be in this or to be one foot in and one out. 'Others block freedom and progress'. Those one looks at has more of this and blockage. To give or to go? To stay, run or hide? Run with the head or stay with the heart. To experience the unknown and misunderstood. To love without limits or to get with the program?

Venus SQ Saturn – Affection but with realistic expectations

Overly warm diffuses suddenly into overly cold. Small fireplaces or raging flames set by wants and need instantly burn out into the remnants, coals. Restricted flow of love, whether felt or expressed in a moment, a day, weekly or monthly. How much or how little? What's right, what's wrong? CONFUSION between how much openness and what to keep to oneself. Commitment for the sake of commitment, limiting natural expression. Staying in places, circumstances, -'ships' for the belief of it being necessary, due to some supposed lack, fear, doubt. Learning and growing through bottled containment and sudden release. Balance does come with awareness!

Saturn needs some Venus too!

Venus needs love. As Venus IS love. Perhaps she functions on our impulses, and our instant gratifications allowing us to reach states of love beauty and ecstasy in moments. When she's doing that we can surely know we're missing her somewhere else in our lives.

Saturn needs work. As Saturn LOVES work. Perhaps he functions on giving us copious amounts of hard labour, boring and dull tasks based on the fact we haven't utilised our imaginations efficiently to find a baseline for him to begin building the creations we have conjured up, so instead, he shows up elsewhere. He needs to be needed. Just like Venus.

When there is a relationship between the two, perhaps we need to add a little love to our work, and vice versa. Saturn gives us a sense of reality so we don't topple off into the abyss when we fall into states of bliss. Instead of seemingly acting like the magnifying glass and curtain remover in our required romantic role-play, perhaps he can instead be our lifefloat that is just an arms length away when we have got lost in the sea of wonder that we find ourselves in once we've opened ourselves up to another person or opportunity. We don't need to grasp onto the lifejacket for dear life as soon as we're out of the boat (our ego), as swimming there can be one of the best experiences we have on Earth, but having sight of a lifejacket instilled with an 000 signaller, can shift us back to shore when swimming turns into drowning or when we lose our way all the way out there. The ocean is a vast and deep place after all.

When we're busy at work and we're getting bored, tired, a little irritated and lacking sight of what and why we're still working in the first place, the relationship Saturn has with Lady Venus can be a God-send. When she's called for, she can be used most constructively to add pleasure to duty, perhaps adding a little play to planning. She can mix it all up fruitfully so we're not left slaving away with no sight of an end. When she knows she's included, her urge for instant satisfaction, attention or spontaneity that pops up at other times, lessens, and she becomes the oh-so feminine worker that partakes in the trade, choosing to add a little sugar and spice to the production line.

Just like Mars and Saturn, or most relationships between seemingly incompatible aspects, when there is harder work to be overcome by the merging and blending these two traits, a greater awareness and knowledge is gained. The harder the work, the greater the momentum, the larger and more prosperous the results.

Uniting Mars- Saturn. Always comes the time for friendship to begin

Hello Mars and Good Evening Sir Saturn

Without much knowledge of stars and constellations, when looking at the night sky to see these two stars, relatively of the same size, could we see the difference?

As star-addicts or interested astrologers, we can and most importantly we can see the variance in their meanings and relevance to us on a more personal level. Once we come to terms with the outside world being a mirror of the concepts and feeling within ourselves, we can entertain the possibility that both Mars and Saturn are simply two different, yet fundamental parts of ourselves that hold equal value. With no help of a telescope, their size in relation to us is similar, just as they occupy equal space in our experience of life, whether we are aware of their functions or not just yet.

That bright 'red' star AKA Mars = the mechanisms controlling our hormones and impulses, our personal compilation of desires and needs. What we would fight and perhaps even die for, how we deliver and act when we are fuelled with ambition and want to accomplish something perhaps now but especially in the heat of the moment when tension takes over. Where we unleash and release to feel settled and at-ease once again. Most of us know this part of ourselves well, especially if we have a very 'yang' oriented personality or a personality that requires outside interaction to feel alive and freely functional. We've had to find and identify outlets for ourselves, for survival reasons of course.

The ringed planet that just looks like another star aka Saturn = our internal infrastructure. Where we give ourselves guidelines, where we draw rules and set specific goals over time. What we limit within our lives reflecting (vice versa) upon how we judge and become critical of other's characteristics and processes. He is the mix of powdered concrete, water and lined-wood for our plans to begin. Our base materials that prepare us to build in ways that are going to suit us best and provide for us in the best possible ways. What creates the weight we create and we notice over time. Ironically the large, ringed planet that is so light it can float on water. This is where our irony of having structures lie. In itself, it isn't real, however utilising it's function makes something as real as anything.

If we're running into the poles of the scaffolding, or being electrocuted by our self-installed electric fences, or kicking our toes on the low brick-walls that we've slowly been building over time , its time to re-focus. How can we focus when we have needs and wants for our wellbeing verse having needs to accomplish keeping in check with what keeps us grounded?

Mars-Saturn can be used in so many ways, it requires some imagination and a momentary detachment from detail from time to time to see. A little dose of Jupiter can come in handy for this. Knowing our own drives and having healthy outlets in addition to what we really need to build and create in our lives can go hand in hand. These seemingly two separate influences can work together simultaneously or in alternating periods to be used extremely effectively and constructively.

If Mars and Saturn are seemingly already working together (in sextile or trine) becoming aware of how this process is helping you daily can be a worthy exercise. Knowing how much better off you are for having endurance mixing with impulse in a positive blend. Things are always fair. Self-induced blessings are really the by-product of having 'harsh' or 'difficult' aspects. Conjunctions, squares and oppositions pull our focus on these areas making our awareness much more pronounced than if we lacked the drive to see this process. The effort and energy spent to find efficient or productive outlets to balance feelings of conflict or blockage yield equally rewarding results. So goes the gift of Saturn J

Surely whoever called Mars 'evil' or Saturn 'the devil' didn't want to spend time getting to know them in first place... They're our most efficient personal helpers after all!

On Rising: First House and First Experience...

This is how the kid in us first viewed (and soften still) views the world.
It does actually come down to that, where we first found ourselves when we were born.
How did we first react to those doctors, our mum's, our family and their friends? Were they frightening? Warm? Queer? Serene? Forceful perhaps?
Hmmm well it all depends. Regardless of what actually 'may have been' back then, it is in our experience of what had been 'in the air' that counts, what was 'Rising' at the time can point OUR EXPERIENCE of what was. It was our surroundings that caused us to 'act' or 'react'.

Some of us may have felt how uber-ly tender Mum's arms were and how beautiful her face was Sigh...
Some of us may have thought how funny looking everything was, everything is pretty fascinating and weird!
Some other of us may have felt like the soft comfortable, warm, constant nourishment has just been taken away, in an instant, WHY!???
And then there's some of us that felt like coming into life was a big struggle, but, we survived. We had gotten through and survived.
Some of us had both Jupiter and Sun there - Hello world!
I thought we'd be meeting again soon.
Oh how I love the way you surprise me constantly with your mysteriousness and surprisefulness!
Some of us have Saturn, where we learned early on to be equipped with a conscience of doing things right or' else'. Where we have had to stay on top of our game as to not be dominated by others and to keep ourselves in one piece, no emotional displays please!
Some of us have Pluto, where we learnt to be eternally aware to safeguard our souls (a perfect word to add to the all-too-true dramatic flair) or we would be taken over by the strength of others and our whole sense of self would become lost. NEVERRRR
Some of us have some of the chaotic Centaurs (Pholus, Nessus), were our earliest days taught us that nothing is stable, nothing is forever, change is constant, and perhaps constantly look forward to the next experience.
Some of us have the lady Venus, where everything around us is beautiful, we're beautiful, and acting and seeing things in this way have served us well, not to mention aesthetically pleasing! Other people are so unattractive and I don't know how they get through! Being warm, affectionate and loving will do me just fine.

And so on and so fourth.

We learnt in the consciousness of our first days and months, what conditions we were dealing with. So we learnt how to form ways of dealing, and ways to safeguard our happiness.

This is why the first house is commonly linked to the 'ego', that being the mask that filters through experience that gives us happiness. Not all of us necessarily feel happy from what the egoic messages give us, however that little voice we all have started to form initially for our survival.

So in terms of future growth, it comes down to three things (if we want to see it in this way, up to you :)

Firstly knowing our reactions that we still have to this day, come from our experiences that we've had (until this day). These experiences are a mix of what we 'put out there' and how we react. No one can hurt us, harm us, like us, unless we have acted in a certain way that we are conscious of, or not

Secondly, seeing we are not babies anymore. Especially if you up to reading or wanting to know about this. We can choose what type of friends we want, what circumstances we want to be in, and ultimately how we get along with life. Manipulation doesn't serve us well so changing ourselves is just changing our masks, but dropping the shield over time can only bring in the people that suit us best, even if this takes a little while...

And thirdly, to be aware that often how we act is an inbuilt asking for a steady supply of learning curves, getting us to deal with situations that resemble our views and NEEDS IN EXPERIENCE. We can change our behaviours and drift along, but if there is a part of us that still wants a certain type of response, the best we can do is transmute or change the quality of the experience.
If we need a strong response from everything in life (perhaps Scorpio or Mars taking effect), there can be a shift from a hateful/opposing expectation/response to a profound one. Both are intense and strong experiences, however one may be more preferable in the long run :)

Attraction. Balancers = Aphrodite working her magic Aries through to Virgo (P.1)

We all have a very visible, as well as a subtle yet potent, set of magnets.
Our innate and personalised ‘Aphrodites’ working connivingly well to get us just what we secretly (or not so secretly) want. Common attractions stem from what we have experienced in the route between childhood through to adulthood in accordance what is innate, as well as the all the potentials that have arisen and do come to surface from transits.

So here we go...

And please remember that each sign is an expression of a ‘type’, these types at the end of the day are so personal to you and you only. Relationships between the lady Venus and other parts of the self are to be noted as they show the conditions that the woman has experienced in the shaping of her likes/dislikes.

For instance, a Capricornian/Venus-Saturn influence (depending on the relationship between the two) could depict a disciplined, refined, testing love-based influence. Loyalty, stability might be found to be some of the products... Playing around with her position amongst other connections she makes to your personal chart can be quite enlightenening. Using your own understandings of mythologies mixed with personal experience thus far...

Venus in Aries - a woman that definitely does not want to feel inferior to Ares, the male counterpart. A strength of character will be super-important (in herself and the other) which comes into action as she tests the prospects/interests of the moment for equality. Even if the strength is based on an inner strength that lies within a quieter man with a strong heart, or more obviously in a philosopher who can also play ball. Games and displays of honest affection come long before cliche poetry and chocolates. This Venus wants to be Wonderman, and she is looking for her Superman, Batman or the equivalent, whoever meets her mark.

Venus in Taurus - Sensual, traditional, grounded or romantically stable is a strong driving force in the attraction/courtship process. Those that can offer this beauty her room for creativity, perhaps giving her financial freedom and a general sense of security by dowsing her with sentiments and objects of affection. These ladies may still give an air of independence, however the drive for personal or solo adventure isn't as obvious as it may be more extrovertedly-based others. Her stability comes from an early development of creating harmony and empowering herself through standing her ground and being less reactive than those in surrounding environments. Passive-aggressiveness and introversion have becoming a very well-tried and tested coping mechanism, winning her for what she has longed for in times past. Knowing this, she has stayed true to her grounded, slow and steady within the many processes of courting and loving. It is with this approach that many suitors that are too variable, extroverted or distant will come and go without leaving a lasting effect that she can’t readily shake off.

Geminian Venus - I want this. And this. No thats better. But this one is pretty awesome too!... The desire nature is funnily-fickle, contradictory and everchanging. As their longings exist largely in the mental realm, a space that is unaware of its own highly reactive tendencies, she’ll make decisions of who to love and what to participate in, based around an internal dialogue weighing the options whilst changing the odds. Fluctuations in her feelings – love, hate, distance, closeness etc etc Couldn’t be more natural and not a general worry, as that worry becomes another worry. She gets over it and used to the fact this is just the way she generally is. Interest me or eff the hell off ladies man! Please give this lady constant change, room to move, some thought-out courtship games, an most importantly, an awareness of these fluctuations if you want to have her in your sights for a longer than a preview-only screening.

Cancerian Affairs - Love is as important as air for these voluptuous (heart-wise) feminina~
At least the feeling of being in love whether being in flow with an art form, a strong connection to forming a home (wherever that may be), producing something in any creative outlet where the heart is fully involved, or being fulfilled by caring and bonding with another human. As the need is so distinct, her love or the concept of love can be used by some of these ladies who remain unaware of their habits as a major source of manipulation, to create dependencies and emotional ties. As her heart lies in loving, she comes with a strong maternal instinct, or at least an awareness of her need for emotional experience. These strengths in the realm of emotions are beneficial to others out there who are in need of a constant stream of love. She must remember that there is no harm in loving another and needing that love in return when one is free from the neediness of another person. Those with artistic talent or have a strong love for anything in particular perform at their absolute best when putting their whole self into the works and knowing that love is limitless regardless of relationship status at any point in time.

Love for the Leo - These divas love, bigtime! As in a massive, warm, sunshine-everyday form of a hug. Grand in their manner in attracting, courting, loving and everyday associations with others is an underlying need, whether this need is being expressed or retained. Looking classy, gold, at the top of their game always is a major aim for these lionesses. Equivalent to big golden locks, batting eyelids and push-up bras that say ‘Hey Boys’ come before wanting an intellectual conversation and future prospects of how the relationship will work. Glitz, glamour, diamonds. Strong when her heart is on the line, charming when in the game and loveable when she has a stage or a voice to share herself in a big, very ‘her’ way.

Virgonian Venus - Saving grace. Perfecting the art of affection, timing, needs and the workings of the mind, heart and relationships. She has the beautiful ability to stick around longer than many other no matter the odds, just to know that the other will fix themselves eventually or seeing a potential in another that convinces them that they can help to manifest 'good' by staying in a relationship. A smart woman with strict or 'different' needs and wants. More practical than romantic, although all women have this within them. She chooses to show the logistics first. She can purify states of bodily health, mind, their environment or the public, by seeing the nature and workings of all things. Innately holistic, the breaking down of things into parts is part of the process of precision and exploring the individual facets of anything in this life to eventually understand the processes of their own selves. There is no stereotype for these ladies as the range of girls with this complex-as-thought energy is so diverse . From hardcore rockchick with a strong principle to a nun with a need to purify their souls. The sticking to a principle or purpose is very defined.
